An outbreak of COVID-19 in a company in Madrid, Spain, left five infected and a total of 18 people under surveillance
Madrid registered a slight regrowth of coronavirus COVID-19 in a company in the capital, after notification from the Community Health Department of five new confirmed cases.
Thirteen people are added to the above in monitoring their family and social environments, without any having needed hospitalization.
According to sources from the Ministry, those affected, between 18 and 54 years old, are in home isolationall with mild symptoms.
They added that monitoring is done Primary Care physicians, as well as those of the Company’s Occupational Risk Prevention Service, whose name has not been released.
Government approves aid to companies
The Spanish government approved this Friday a new package of measures in favor of companies, amounting to 50 billion euros, to revive the economy and employment, due to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
A total of 40 billion will be allocated to a line of guarantees from the Official Credit Institute (ICO, a public body), for new investment projects and a fund of 10 billion to support the solvency of strategic companies that may be in trouble.
As reported by the Executive after the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers, the ICO line of guarantees will be dedicated to promoting new investment projects business, while the Solvency Support Fund will give temporary public support to strategic companies.
The coronavirus pandemic and the consequent stop of the economy to stop the spread of the disease caused in Spain an important economic crisis, with the destruction of almost a million jobs, which affects all sectors, but above all those related to tourism such as hotels, restaurants and transport.
