WME Signs Podcast Producer Noiser

The U.K.-based company is behind audio shows ‘Real Narcos’ and ‘Real Dictators.’

WME has signed U.K. podcast production startup Noiser for representation in all areas, with a focus on building its business into television and streaming video.

Launched in March, Noiser focuses on audio documentaries and dramas that pull from real events. Former television director Pascal Hughes, who has worked on shows for ITV, BBC and Discovery, leads the company as founder and CEO. Paul Robinson, who was previously managing director of Disney’s TV channels in the U.K., serves in a non-executive strategy role. Other members of the team include producer Joel Duddell and editor Katrina Hughes.

Noiser’s first two launches were Real Narcos, about the real men and women who worked to take down powerful drug traffickers, and Real Dictators, about the hidden lives of some of the world’s most notorious tyrants. Both shows charted on the iTunes history charts.

Noiser continues to be represented by for advertising and to work with Megaphone as a platform provider.
